CRES （Cognitive Research for Exploratory Search）とは †

（通称:クレス）という名称で、「認知科学的アプローチ」「Exploratory Search」などをキーワードにした共同研究プロジェクトです。

CRESプロジェクトでは、 Web上の利用者の情報探索行動や認知プロセスに着目した研究を行っています。利用者実験の手法に基づき、利用者のWeb上の画面遷移映像、閲覧WebページのURL、眼球運動、発話、事後インタビューなどを記録して分析を進めています。

国立情報学研究所の公募型研究（テーマ：探索型検索システムに関する認知的研究）に参加しています。

Link Depthサーチエンジンの検索結果一覧ページ（SERP）からどれくらいリンクをたどってWeb空間を移動したかを表す指標を定義
ルックゾーン: 検索結果のページについて22項目のLookzoneを定義
Scanpath2SVG: 視線追跡データの可視化サービス
VizCMap: 探索の事前・事後に書いたコンセプトマップの比較を行うための可視化・分析ツール
QT-Honey: Web行動カテゴリに基づいた情報探索行動ログを採取するFirefoxアドオンツール（本プロジェクトで開発中）
Lemur Query Log Toolbar (Lemur project): 上記QT-Honeyの元となったクエリログ収集ツール。バグ報告とパッチの送付により貢献
視線追跡装置: 非接触型の視線追跡装置を使用
